| The
Studio Goes to Harvard
January 1996 |
| In October,
we gave a seminar at the Partners Club of the Executive Management
Program at the Harvard Business School. We talked about
the changes in recent years in the way woman dress for work, the problems
they face shopping and putting together their wardrobes, and the questions
they should ask themselves about what is in their closets. Finally,
we did what we do best. With the help of two volunteer 'models', we
showed how, with several well-chosen articles of clothing, and all
the right accessories, you can create a mini wardrobe. A good time
was had by all and we plan to conduct more seminars this Spring. |

our
PERSPECTIVE
We see so much contradiction in the world of fashion. On the editorial
and fashion pages of the Globe the look for spring is described
as relaxed and simple, the key word being 'wearability' a welcome
'shift to sanity'. The next day pictures appear of skirts that start
below the navel and end mid-thigh, and dresses that are shorter than
short and sleeveless, the 70's replayed. No wonder the fashion industry
is in a funk. Our mission at the Studio is to make sense of
this crazy fashion world and bring you clothes that make you feel
good and look beautiful.
one man's PERSPECTIVE
"There are very few women who are secure enough to look sophisticated
and understand. I think one of the biggest mistakes women make in
terms of their dress is that they have to show everything they own.
A well-dressed woman does not have to depend upon labels and fashion
trends to look good."
