the Studio's 15 minutes of FAME March 2001
On Saturday, January 6th, an article we could have only dreamed of appeared in the Living Arts Section of the Boston Globe. All of us are still flying high from the wonderful response. We will be forever grateful to Globe writer Linda Matchan who hung out, asked questions but most important, listened... and GOT IT. It has been a deeply satisfying experience for the three of us and our staff—a team of amazing women without whom this 'comfort zone' could not exist.

We welcome those who read the article and came. One woman rushed over taking two buses to see if it really was 'her kind of store'—and it was. Another woman announced that her husband had dragged her to The Studio from Marblehead after reading about us over breakfast. Good press is every retailer's dream, certainly ours. We've had a ball meeting you and dressing you. But the best part was the response from long time Studio shoppers who confirmed what we had always believed: that we did more than just sell clothes.

Our heartfelt thanks to all of you,

Sandy, Marcie, Ilene & The Studio Staff
book CORNER
Once again the women who shop here have inspired us. Some of our author/customers have been kind enough to donate signed copies of their most recent books dealing with issues of particular interest to women. These books will be for sale and all proceeds donated to the Dana Farber. Look for our future books events.
