POSTCARDS from the
fridge
Most artsy - Botticelli’s three
muses. As close as we’ll ever
get to hanging in a museum. Our
friend Dave James was the artist. |
Most uncomfortable - The Barrels.
This one was Sandy’s imagination
working overtime. “Nothing to wear,” is
what it read and no imitation barrel would
do. With a lot of negotiating, Sandy
convinced an authentic Maine barrel maker
to ship us these 40 pound beauties. Let’s
just say, we prefer to dress lighter. |
Most last minute – The Beach. The
best laid plans . . . our date at the beach
was a washout and the printers were
breathing down our necks. We went
head to head with Mother Nature and
painted our own sunny beach in the back
office.
It’s one of our favorites. |
Most Hilarious - The Reindeer. A
Christmas favorite that wasn’t forgotten
by Halloween. Marcie’s daughter Leigh
was 6 or 7 when she trick or treated as
a reindeer. She rang a doorbell and was
greeted with, “oh, you must be from The
Studio”. |
Most difficult –The Plastic Bags.
It was 90 degrees and we were
being photographed wearing dresses
made out of our plastic garment bags.
Is there nothing we wouldn’t do for
the good of the store? |
P.S. - Many thanks to our friend and photographer Shelly Harrision who for 25
years has put up with us and consistently made us look good.
