 swordfish a la STUDIO

A local fish place has this on it’s menu. Anxious to re-create it at home, we went straight to Trader Joe’s. Easy enough for a week night meal, elegant enough for company.

For 4
Ingredients:
2 lbs. fresh swordfish
3 jars T. Joes’ Muffaletta
1 jar T. Joes’ Fired -roasted yellow
    and red peppers
1 Tbsp. capers
1 Tbsp. olive oil
fresh mixed salad greens (arugula, romaine, spinach) fresh ground pepper, to taste chopped parsley, if desired

Marinate swordfish (any vinaigrette or even bottled marinade). Grill, broil or sauté until cooked. Empty jars of mufallato into a saucepan & heat. Slice and add approximately 3/4’s of  the peppers, add the capers, pepper and olive oil.
That’s it, except for the plating.*

* It’s all in the presentation. Splash some vinegar (wine, white balsamic, etc.) over greens, place swordfish on top. Spoon on olive mixture and add a side of couscous if not on Atkins or South Beach.

They say that married people begin to look alike after many years. I know I look like Ilene, in a few more years will we look like Marcie?”… Sandy

 best TICKET IN town

Move over, Ed Sullivan…
In honor of our 25th Anniversary, The Studio will be presenting a star-studded Gala at Brookline High School, on May 23rd, for the Gillette Center for Women’s Cancer at the Dana Farber. Not fully cast but a few things are certain. Liz Walker will host, the satirical political humor of Louis Black from Comedy Central will make us laugh, Brookline’s PALS children’s chorus will delight and we will rock with Red Sox GM, Theo Epstein and his band Trauser. Much more to come. Save the date we’ll keep you posted.

“Every time the door opens and a breathless young mother enters carrying a newborn (because two flights of stairs and a stroller will do that) everything at The Studio stops”… Marcie
